Fan Art Friday: A Forgive My Fins Song

Check out this amazing Forgive My Fins song by Madison Aliis Procter!

*beginning*
My hair is strewn about; a mess.
Thank you for the pirate dress.
Why are you being so nice?
There's gotta be a catch, I can't suffice.
You are such an annoying perv,
I know, i know, I'm being such a jerk.
You're just trying to help me,
But why now? Did you hear my plea?

*chorus*
I might love you,
I thought I hated'jou.
I am getting so confused,
What will life be like I refuse to choose?
I guess it wouldn't be that great for you,
Because you love me- what to do?
I- maybe- could let you in,
If you might- forgive my fins.

*_*
I went to the library,
To meet up with Mr. Dreamy.
Now I've figured out your plan,
Too late, of course- can i make amends?
So I take you to my father,
I know he can fix this mess.
But, of course, why not?
He thinks you're perfect.
Such a perfect manly man.

*chorus*
I might love you,
I thought I hated'jou.
I am getting so confused,
What will life be like I refuse to choose?
I guess it wouldn't be that great for you,
Because you love me- what to do?
I- maybe- could let you in,
If you might- forgive my fins.

*bridge*
What would we be like together?
Would we make it,
Through all weather?
Why did you sneak up on me?
But maybe I'm to blame, cause I couldn't see
What we could be.
But you could.
You wanted it.
You never- told me
Maybe if you had-
I would've noticed sooner,
How perfect we are together.
We could've lived happily under the sea

*chorus*
Now I know I love you,
Before- I thought I hated'jou.
I was- so confused,
What would life be like I had chosen you first?
I guess it would've been great for you,
Because you love me- I love you too.
I have let you in,
You have forgiven my fins.

Isn't that just awesome? Now I totally want to hear it with music. :)

Hugs,
TLC

Monday Giveaway: Tempest

A new Monday Giveaway, and this week you have the chance to win a copy of Tempest by Julie Cross.

The year is 2009. Nineteen-year-old Jackson Meyer is a normal guy… he’s in college, has a girlfriend… and he can travel back through time. But it’s not like the movies – nothing changes in the present after his jumps, there’s no space-time continuum issues or broken flux capacitors – it’s just harmless fun.

That is… until the day strangers burst in on Jackson and his girlfriend, Holly, and during a struggle with Jackson, Holly is fatally shot. In his panic, Jackson jumps back two years to 2007, but this is not like his previous time jumps. Now he’s stuck in 2007 and can’t get back to the future.

Desperate to somehow return to 2009 to save Holly but unable to return to his rightful year, Jackson settles into 2007 and learns what he can about his abilities.

But it’s not long before the people who shot Holly in 2009 come looking for Jackson in the past, and these “Enemies of Time” will stop at nothing to recruit this powerful young time-traveler. Recruit… or kill him.

Piecing together the clues about his father, the Enemies of Time, and himself, Jackson must decide how far he’s willing to go to save Holly… and possibly the entire world.

To enter this giveaway, tell me... if you could time travel to anywhen, when would you go and why?

Monday Giveaway: The Gathering

A new Monday Giveaway, and this week you have the chance to win a signed copy of The Gathering by Kelley Armstrong.

Sixteen-year-old Maya is just an ordinary teen in an ordinary town. Sure, she doesn't know much about her background - the only thing she really has to cling to is an odd paw-print birthmark on her hip - but she never really put much thought into who her parents were or how she ended up with her adopted parents in this tiny medical-research community on Vancouver Island.

Until now.

Strange things have been happening in this claustrophobic town - from the mountain lions that have been approaching Maya to her best friend's hidden talent for "feeling" out people and situations, to the sexy new bad boy who makes Maya feel . . . . different. Combine that with a few unexplained deaths and a mystery involving Maya's biological parents and it's easy to suspect that this town might have more than its share of skeletons in its closet.

To enter this giveaway, tell me about your favorite subject in school. Mine was always science--specifically biology. For the longest time I wanted to be either a marine or environmental biologist. Sometimes I still do.

Hugs,
TLC

* Giveaway is open internationally and closes at midnight on Saturday. Winners will be posted Sunday(ish). If you're reading this on Facebook or GoodReads, please click over to Blogger if you want to enter.

Monday Giveaway: Shade

A new Monday Giveaway, and this week you have the chance to win a signed copy of Shade by Jeri Smith-Ready and (bonus!) a signed bookmark.

Best. Birthday. Ever. At least, it was supposed to be. With Logan's band playing a critical gig and Aura's plans for an intimate after-party, Aura knows it will be the most memorable night of her boyfriend's life. She never thought it would be his last.

Logan's sudden death leaves Aura devastated. He's gone.

Well, sort of.

Like everyone born after the Shift, Aura can see and hear ghosts. This mysterious ability has always been annoying, and Aura had wanted nothing more than to figure out why the Shift happened so she can undo it. But not with Logan's violet-hued spirit still hanging around. Because dead Logan is almost as real as ever. Almost.

It doesn't help that Aura's new friend Zachary is so understanding--and so very alive. His support means more to Aura than she cares to admit.

As Aura's relationships with the dead and the living grow ever complicated, so do her feelings for Logan and Zachary. Each holds a piece of Aura's heart...and clues to the secret of the Shift.

To enter this giveaway, tell me if you believe in ghosts and whether you've ever seen one.

Hugs,
TLC

Can You Hear My News?

I have some very exciting news from mermaid land, especially for those of you who love to listen to books. Next month, when Just For Fins releases, Harper will also release audio editions of ALL THREE BOOKS! Here are the (familiar) fabulous covers:

Forgive My Fins

Fins Are Forever

Just For Fins

They're available for pre-order on Amazon (Forgive My Fins ~ Fins Are Forever ~ Just For Fins), and hopefully they'll be up on other sites soon for your listening pleasure.

FYI, the narrator I chose (Emily Bauer) has also narrated Meg Cabot's Insatiable books and Susan Beth Pfeffer's Life As We Knew It series. She's awesome!

Tuesday Teaser: Just For Fins (11)

The only thing that ruins their intimidating, military look is their legs. Below their wet-but-perfect uniform jackets, each guard sports a finkini—skin-hugging shorts made of scales the color of their tailfin.
