Teaser Tuesday: Secret Project GIT

It's time for me to confess what I've been working on. I've been hinting at Secret Project GIT for ages (I've had the idea for years) but now that I'm finally working on it, I'm going to share some details.

I've mentioned my plans to continue the Oh. My. Gods. series through novellas because, honestly, I left somethings unanswered at the end of Goddess Boot Camp that really should have been answered. And, also, because I love those characters and that world and am not done telling their stories.

So... Secret Project GIT is the first of those novellas (which might end up being more like a short novel than a long novella, but we'll see). The actual title is Goddess In Time and it's a Nicole story.

Normally I don't tell you guys about things until they are done deals--I don't want to get hopes up and then disappoint them--but since I'm doing these stories on my own, I'm not waiting for anyone's approval. And I need the motivation of your excitement to help me make my self-imposed deadline.

Today I'm going to share the first page of the story.

When it comes to using dynamotheos powers, there are three unbreakable rules. Don't use them against other students at the Academy—the ridiculously cliquish private school for descendants of the gods, aka my future alma mater (gag). Don't use them to succeed in the nothos—non-descendant—world. And, under absolutely no circumstances can you use them to travel through time.

If you'd met me a week ago, I would have told you I'd never break those rules. Okay, I might have broken the first one on occasion because, seriously, some of the theobrats at my school deserve a little thunderbolt to the backside every once in a while. But I definitely don't need to use my powers to get by in the real world. And the power of time travel... it was just a fairy tale.

Well, at least I thought so. That was before. Before the trip to the secret archives. Before I found out the mysterious thirteenth power of time travel was full blown reality. Before I realized what might be possible. Before.

Nothing's been the same since.

And right now, I'm about to shatter rule number three.

I'm working on the first draft right now, and I should be done by this weekend. If all goes according to plan, I'll be publishing it next month. Eeep!
