We've Got Book (and a GBC Teaser)

Today I got a very special package in the mail: an advance copy of GODDESS BOOT CAMP!!! Not an ARC/bound galley. This is the real deal, actual hardcover book. The one that will (hopefully) be available in stores everywhere come June 11th. I snapped some shots of my baby to share with you.

And her heretofore unseen back cover (with review quotes from the first book this time, instead of quotes from the gods, but still pretty). I love all the clouds.


And wanna know the best part? The cloth cover beneath the jacket is PINK!!! With shiny turquoise writing! Isn't it beautiful?


After I finished drooling over the exterior, I flipped inside to make sure the things I'd corrected on the page proofs made it into the final document. Especially the name in my acknowledgments that got misspelled in the process. (See Kirsty, now it's fixed!)


And, because we all know the opening pages are the most important ones in an entire book, here's a sneak peek at the very first page.


Serious book love, godlets. GODDESS BOOT CAMP turned out great and the people at Dutton/Penguin Young Readers did a fantastic job. Woohoo!

And now, because I promised and because I'm so giddy over my shiny new book, I'm going to give you one of my favorite teaser lines from the whole book.

My first clue that something is very, very wrong is the giggling.

Aren't you curious? I tell you, if you were in that situation, you'd feel just as terrified as Phoebe does.
