Which means... I have a free month. What a perfect time to make up for missing NaNo. So I am declaring March my NaNoMaMo (NaNoWriMo Makeup Month). I even made a fun blog badge to celebrate.
I'm going to treat March like NaNo, with daily word goals and accountability. Only I'm hoping to write more that 50,000 words. This NaNoMaMo I'll be writing two projects.
- Secret Project WOO — This is my super top secret Project I'm In Love With right now. My Magical Things board has been a big inspiration for the project. I still have lots of brainstorming to do, as I'd like to see this turn out to be a trilogy, but I think I'm just going to start putting words on the page. I'd like my first draft to be a minimum of 50,000 words.
- Secret Project GIT — This is the first Oh. My. Gods. novella. I have a pretty good outline, so it should be fast writing. And, since it's a novella, a first could be around 15,000 words.
That puts my grand total, NaNoMaMo word count goal at:
65,000 words
Eeep! Plus I'm traveling the last 10 days of the month. Um, maybe I'm crazy. But I'll have three solid weeks with nothing else major going on (well, except for one quick trip to visit family) and I'm going to push myself to get writing done while traveling too. Here are my daily goals:
Days 1-21 — 2,500 words per day (10 pages)
Days 22-31 — 1,250 words per day (5 pages)
When I put it that way, it seems a lot more manageable. I hope.
Anyone want to join me for NaNoMaMo?
Hugs,
TLC
